SUMMARY:Family Promise of Ogden Fun Run and Walk
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a morning of fun\, fitness\, and community while making a real difference for local families. From the 5k run and one-mile walk tothe kids’ race\, music\, refreshments\, and silent auction\, there’s something for everyone. Best of all\, every step you take helps Family Promise of Ogden provide shelter\, stability\, and hope for families with children experiencing homelessness. \nA perfect path for everyone (see route maps below\, all races begin and end near the Park Bowery): \n\nRunners can chase their personal best on a 5K route that starts at the Harrisville Park Bowery\, winds past the new Family Promise building\, and then returns to the city park. All runners on the 5k route will be timed. Medals will be awarded to the top runners.\nWalkers will enjoy a relaxed\, non-timed\, one-mile scenic route.\nChildren under 12 years can test their running or bicycling legs on the one-mile route while children’s movie characters cheer them on! The first three runners to the finish line will earn a medal. (bikers won’t be part of the medal race\, please bring non-motorized bikes/scooters only).\n\nChildren’s Movie Characters will cheer and mingle during the kids’ race. At 9:30\, they’ll line up for a meet-and-greet. Bring your camera for a fun photo to remember the race by! \nWell Supported: Friendly volunteers\, water stations\, and first aid personnel will be available throughout the course to keep everyone safe\, hydrated\, and encouraged. Cross the finish line to cheering volunteers\, dance to the music\, browse the silent auction\, and celebrate a great morning with friends and neighbors.
