A while back, I stumbled across a program that honestly surprised me. It lets kids bowl for free all summer long!

It’s called Kids Bowl Free, and it’s a nationwide program that partners with bowling alleys across the country to encourage families to get out and bowl together. Luckily, we have a participating location right here in Weber County—Sparetime Lanes in Roy.

A big thank you to Weber Family Fun subscriber Melissa Leffert for telling us about this awesome program. Here’s what she had to say:

“It’s a fun program—we sign up every summer. You just have to either rent shoes or have bowling shoes. We’ve done it at Sparetime Lanes. It’s the one for Weber. You sign up for one location for the summer. We’ve really enjoyed it for the kids.”

How It Works

Registered children ages 2–14 receive 2 free games every day during participating hours at Sparetime Lanes.

Current participating hours:

• Monday–Friday: 10:00 AM – 9:00 PM
• Valid through: August 15

The program itself is completely free. The only cost is shoe rental, unless you already have your own bowling shoes.

Want to Bowl Too?

If parents, grandparents, older siblings, or babysitters want to join in, there’s an optional Family Pass available for purchase that allows adults to bowl alongside the kids all summer.

It’s a fantastic way to get the family out of the house, stay active, and make some inexpensive summer memories.
